Our Farm is run on organic principals, we try to preserve the original environment as much as possible. Miniature Herefords are easy on the land, plus we never overstock.There is 5ac. of natural bush for shelter and rows of pine trees protecting against wind & weather. There is also a small herd of Wiltshire horned sheep and a couple of Dorpers to keep the ragwort in a environment friendly way down, plus we get some chemical free meat for our own use. We use only natural drenches no artificial fertilizers, only liquid kelp, worm casting or fish plus dolomite and or lime with trace minerals. We keep a good lot of chocks; there is also our pet rabbit. There are apple, pear, plum and cherry trees, grape vines and more. In this environment we attract a multitude of native birds and animals, competing for some good tucker. Our frog population is alive and well and after a good rain they really tell you "we love this place". There is also a group of deer roaming in the bush in a semi wild state, the stag however is our pet by the name of Pete, he loves to say "GOOD DAY" to anybody, hoping to get a handful of pellets, he loooves his food! He may develop an obesity problem.Sad news, lovely Tom our cat past away after a short live of 18 years.
